Exploring the meaning of life

Here at St John's, we love helping people to explore the big questions of life.

We run various courses throughout the year. You would be most welcome to come - no knowledge of Christianity is required, and you can ask any question you like.

Hope Explored

Hope Explored is an informal and relaxed three-week course. It's completely free and you don't need to know anything about the Bible but feel free to ask any questions you like. Or you can just sit and listen. Whoever you are, whatever you're thinking, Hope Explored is a place for you to discover the hope of a future that is better than you could ever imagine. 

We have a daytime course for women (with a creche provided) from 9:45am to 11am on Wednesdays 13, 20 and 27 March if you'd like to come along.

We also have an evening course, which all are welcome to come to, from 7.45pm-9pm on Wednesdays 13, 20 and 27 March.

Marriage Prep Course

Considering marriage or getting engaged?

The Marriage Preparation Course is designed to help couples get the best possible start to their marriage.

The course lasts for 5 weeks, each session starts with a meal and then a short talk peppered with questions for each couple to discuss together.

Topics covered include:

  • Communication
  • Commitment
  • Resolving conflict
  • Keeping love alive
  • Shared goals and values
