What is Buttercup?
Buttercup is our Thursday afternoon 'bumps and babies' group. It is a lovely place for mums in the St John's area to come and meet each other and share the challenges of being a new parent together. We welcome mums with babies up to 1 year old; expectant mums are also welcome! It is run by St John's volunteers under the leadership of Louise Taylor. (We also have a Monday morning mums and toddlers group called Mummy and Me.)
We aim to:
1. Be a place where mums from the local St John's community can come and feel welcome and make friends with other mums at the same stage;
2. Provide a safe and happy environment for babies, but please remember that they are your responsibility at all times.
What happens at Buttercup?
We chat over tea and home-made cake while babies feed, sleep,
are cuddled, play... We also have a short song time with instruments.
