REOPENING
Our plans to reopen the Church and Church Centre
August 2020In light of Government guidance allowing churches to re-open, St John's PCC is currently making plans to allow the church family to meet together in person. We would like to re-open the church and church centre for meetings as soon as we can do so safely.
Our current plan is for some small group meetings to happen in the church centre from 1st September, and for Sunday meetings to recommence on Sunday 20th September, following completion of building works to install new lighting. To enable social distancing, there will be a booking system, details of which can be found here. With a reduced capacity, we won’t all be able to attend in person each week, but we will seek to organise this as fairly as possible. We also plan to live stream these services so that those who cannot physically join with the church family will be able to watch online.
We are sorry that this cannot happen sooner, but the planned lighting overhaul in the church, taking place over the summer period, has made it difficult to organise a return to church any earlier. However, we're looking into other options that may work in the meantime.
With the coronavirus situation constantly evolving, plans will be subject to the latest Government guidance.
We thank you for your patience as we work all this out. Please do continue to join us online in the meantime.
Church centre closure
We would encourage you to follow our teaching programme online. We shall give regular updates, prayer requests and Bible thoughts on the website. You will still be able to access new talks on the church website from the Resources menu at the top of the page and following the video link.
